Editorial comment epistolary novel by Samuel Richardson, published in 1747-1748 journal of chromatography library vol 57. Richardson first presents the heroine, Clarissa, when she hides from his family only the reasons which force them into a loveless marriage to improve their lot to discover journal of chromatography library vol 57. As Lovelace, a romantic who has contempt for the code of Harlowe, offers her protection, she fled with him. It physically attached, even when not dressed in love with Lovelace, but it is to discover that he intends only his own words, she refuses to marry her. In Lovelace's letters to his friend Belford, Richardson shows that what the conquest of the leading and then rape is really revenge for insults to his family and his sense of moral superiority Clarissa. Clarissa, however, to accept the marriage as a commodity is not better than opportunistic moral code to accept his family.
